Hi All,

Trying to use the "Edit" option in desktop to open up
a drawing with "CADLink". Using this option gives me
"Unable to initialize the Documentum Foundation Class
Library. Please contact your system administrator".
This is followed by another dialog saying:

"java.lang.Error: Failed to load preferences:
java.io.FileNotFoundException:
C:\DOCUMENTUM\Config\dfc.properties (Access is
denied). com.documentum.fc.client.DfClientSupport.
<init>(DfClientSupport.java.89)
com.documentum.fc.client.DfClient.<init>(DfClient.java:32)
com.documentum.fc.client.DfClient.getLocalClientEx(DfClient.java:71)
com.documentum.fc.client.DfClient.getlocalClient(DfClient.java:57)
com.kvisiz.repository.documentum.rfc.RSessionDFDCFactory.createSession(Unknown
Source)
com.kvisia.common.rfc.RClient.createSession(Unknown
Source)

After this, I have an AutoCAD screen. But CADLink
tells me that I dont have a document open through
CADLink..

can any one help me ASAP....

Extend your CLASSPATH environment variable definition to include the
folder that contains the dfc.properties file (usually
C:\Documentum\config)

Also, make sure that you have installed the McLaren RFC that corresponds
with your version of CADLink and that the KVISIA environment variables
are present. You should have KVISIA_HOME = installation location of RFC
(Usually C:\Program Files\Common Files\Mclaren\RFC), and KVDCTM_HOME =
installation location of RFC for Documentum (Usually C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Mclaren\RFC_Documentum).

Can you open the document using the CADLink, Open Document menu option
in AutoCAD?
